Fallen Footwear

Fallen Footwear was started by Blackbox, which was founded in 2000 by professional skateboarder Jamie Thomas. Thomas was on a mission to house and distribute Zero Skateboards independently, and in 2003 Blackbox started Mystery Skateboards. Not long after the launch of Mystery Skateboards, Fallen Footwear and Apparel was born and integrated into Blackbox. At its beginning, Fallen Footwear was manufactured and distributed by DC Shoes. However, the agreement was cancelled in 2005, when DC Shoes was acquired by Quiksilver.

The split was civil and DC President Ken Block recognized Fallen Footwear as a top emerging footwear brand in the skate world. Today, Blackbox is in charge of Fallen’s sales and distribution. Fallen Footwear features several styles of shoes for skateboarding and everyday wear. Their colorful, lace-up models give a nod to skateboarders by naming the designs after them (i.e. the Brian Hansen Signature Model). Although they are mostly known for their footwear, Fallen also sells branded t-shirts, pullover and zip-up hoodies, pants, shorts, flat-billed hats, beanies, and accessories such as socks and backpacks. They also sell t-shirts for children.

Aside from Fallen, Blackbox is the house of several skate brands, which employs more than 75 skateboarders, and has more than 50 team riders. The Fallen skate team currently includes Jamie Thomas, Tommy Sandoval, Josh Harmony, Brian “Slash” Hansen, Garrett Hill, Jack Curtain, Tom Asta, Arif Shafiq, and James Hardy.

As a company, Blackbox and its brands, including Fallen Footwear and Apparel, are on a constant mission to support skateboarding on every level.

Fallen produced a awesome documentary, “Road Less Traveled,” which is available for download on iTunes. The documentary follows the Fallen team of professional skateboarders on their journey to Turkey, Croatia, South Africa, Portugal, the American West, and Thailand over the course of two and a half years.
